The Akta Lakota Museum is committed to providing products of high quality and value, and we back this commitment with a satisfaction guarantee. If you purchase an item from us that for any reason fails to give complete satisfaction, you may return it to us for an exchange or full refund so long as it is new, and unused.
This guarantee must be exercised within 30 days of your receipt of the merchandise. All return shipping charges must be prepaid. Returns and exchanges are accepted only for items purchased from the Akta Lakota Museum & Cultural Center. Refunds will be applied based on the original method of payment.
The following products may not be returned:
- Used merchandise
- Music/DVDs (defective items will be exchanged for the same title)
- Books
- Special Orders
If you would like to exchange an item for the same item/size then we can do a straight exchange. However, if you would like to exchange the item for a different item or size, we will first do a return with the original purchase amount refunded to your credit card, followed by a new sale for the replacement item being charged to your credit card.
To return an item, please follow the steps below. Also, be sure to keep a copy of your invoice and mailing receipt for your records.
1.) Print out our online return form, or call 1-800-798-3452 to have one sent to you.
2.) Complete the form entirely.
3.) Indicate next to each item if you want to return or exchange the items.
4.) Ship the package via UPS Ground or USPS. Be sure to insure the package to guarantee it safely reaches us.
