How do I place an order?
It's safe and easy to place an order with Akta Lakota Museum & Cultural Center. Online, simply select the items you want to purchase by clicking on the “Add to cart” button located next to the product image. When you've selected all of your items, click “Checkout.” Follow the on-screen instructions and select your payment method.

How can I pay for my order?
We accept all major credit cards – American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We also accept payment via gift certificates and PayPal.

If you choose to order via postal mail, we also accept check or money order. For more information on our payment methods, please visit our Terms & Conditions section.

Can I have the order sent to an address different than mine?
Absolutely! Just be sure to enter the desired shipping address during the checkout process.

I enjoy shopping online, but I'd rather not give my credit card information. Is there another option for me?
Yes! Even though our online services are safe and secure, your privacy is our main concern. You can do all of your shopping online by adding items to your cart. However, when you get to the checkout process in our online shopping cart, we offer you some special options. Here, you can select how you want to complete your order – online with a credit or debit card, by fax, through the mail or over the phone.

Is it possible to ship outside of the USA and Canada?
Akta Lakota Museum & Cultural Center can ship almost anywhere in the world! We will ship your package UPS Worldwide Express ™. A street address is required for delivery. You can expect the package to arrive within two weeks of the shipping date. International shipping does bear a higher cost, and we encourage you to visit our Terms & Conditions page for more information, including a list of countries not in our shipment coverage.

Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?
Sales tax only applies to orders shipping within South Dakota. Appropriate charges will automatically be added to all orders shipped within South Dakota.

Delivery

When will my package arrive?
Arrival time varies and hinges on several conditions – holidays, weekends, mail volume, inclement weather, etc. However, we make a point to ship all in-stock items within 72 hours of the order's receipt.

Average arrival times are:
Standard Postal Mailing – 7-10 days
Express Shipping – 3 business days (additional charge for this method)
Express Plus Shipping – 2 business days (additional charge for this method)

What if my package does not arrive within the average time span?
There are occasionally extenuating circumstances delaying your package, especially during the busy Christmas season. We do not generally consider a package lost until 30 days. If you believe an item you ordered has been lost, is missing or was not shipped, please email us at aktalakota@stjo.org Our Customer Service Associate will look into the problem and respond as quickly as possible.

How do I know if my order has shipped?
You will receive an email invoice confirming that your order has been placed. Then, your package will ship in 24-48 hours depending on weekends, availability and holidays.

If you do not receive an email invoice after placing your order, please email us at aktalakota@stjo.org with your full name and address. We will reply as quickly as possible.

I'd like a delivery charge quote before ordering. Is this possible?
For a quote in US dollars, email us at aktalakota@stjo.org . Be sure to include your full name and address along with the exact items you wish to purchase. We will prepare a quote and respond within one working day.

Returns

How do I exchange or return an item?
Please follow the steps below to return or exchange an item. As a note, you must indicate whether a replacement or credit is preferred.

1	Print our online return form and complete it entirely.
2	Ship the package back to us via UPS Ground or US Post Office insured to guarantee your package reaches our warehouse.
3	For UPS returns, ship to:
